Needs additional weights. Doesn’t fair well in wind. Looks nice though. by Claire on 13 July 2019

Product itself is okay, looks nice and seems good quality but can’t be used without an awful lot of extra weighing down or if there is even a breath of wind. Overall average.

I bought this umbrella for the garden of a block of retirement flats. The instructions on assembly left a lot to be desired. We ended up waiting for our gardeners to show us how to put it up and down. The winding handle is quite high and none of us can reach it easily enough to wind it unless we are standing on something. If I had known how awkward it was going to be for us to use I would not have bought it. I can imagine it would be fine for a younger family.

Disappointed because I need get some type weight for support because falls over,I wish I read reviews 1st and I would not of bought.unless weights are put next to sale.I have tie Parasol to keep flat when not in use so wind don't get under to blow over, and it's not easy to use for one person to open and close. Waste of money in my opinion

Greenfingers Says: Thank you for your review. It does advise on the website the following - We would strongly recommend using this product with a cantilever parasol base to help prevent the product from tipping over in windy conditions. Kind Regards Greenfingers Customer Care

Parasol was excellent a pity we didn't realise we needed special bases, so was not such a bargain in the end.

Not good at all by J Croft on 28 July 2018

Bought this cantilever parasol end of June then bought on line 4 bases the slightest wind and it tilts over and the top screw that privets has come out not sure if it will repair only had it around a month so I feel as if I’ve wasted £69-99. Each time it’s blown over the brown paint has scraped off When I say it only is a slight wind that blows it over it has been used in the heatwave with hardly a breath of air and still tilted at the top privet. It will now cost me nearly as much to buy just a plain parasol not impressed with the cantilever parasols. I’ve had to get my old parasol out and use that for now. disappointed customer J Croft

It's very difficult to prevent this parasol from toppling over even in the slightest breeze. The base is too narrow for the umbrella. Needs a LOT of weight!
